Invasion men clamp down on defense in home win over Chanute Christian

After surrendering six 3 point baskets in the fist half, the Derby men held the Chanute Christian Warriors scoreless in the third quarter in route to a 57-35 victory on Friday night at Colonial Heights.
Josh May led the way for the Invasion with 17 points and 12 rebounds, both career bests. May also added 3 blocks and 4 steals and proved to be unstoppable in the paint. Sean Michaelson collected 18 points to again lead the Invasion scoring and Kyle Barger and Brandon Swallow each added 8 points.
Kyle Bilby led the visiting Warriors with 18 points including four 3 pointers before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. With the win, the Invasion men move to 12-5 on the season and will be back in action on Tuesday Jan 29th when they go on the road to play the Wichita Defenders.
