Invasion men grind out road win at Victory Chirstian By:  D.R. Updated:  01/30/2008 at 7:36 PM The Derby men went on the road Thursday and earned a hard fought 48-36 win over Victory Christian Academy at the Butler Community College Gym in El Dorado.  The game started out as cold as a January evening in Kansas with the Invasion leading only 6-4 after the first quarter.  The teams matched baskets in the second quarter and left the Invasion with the same 2 point lead at the half.   The second half saw both teams warm up from the field and the Derby men slowly took control over the scrappy VCA men.  Sean Michaelson led the Invasion with 18 points and 8 rebounds.  Josh May added 7 points to go along with a game high 10 rebonds.  Brandon Swallow added 7 and Kyle Barger 6 for Derby.  Samuel McVay led VCA with 15 points and Gabe Andrews added 8 showing some great moves in the paint. <- GO BACK
